one fifty three.

happy halloween!!

we had a great party at imago and invited the whole block!  it was such a great turnout and we had a ton of families.

this picture really captures the spirit of halloween.  this is damien, and he is digging into his candy...with mad fury.

what a treat.

such a cutie and so much joy.

day 152!

if I didn't have jani davis and twigs, would I have such great pictures?!

probably not.  there are a million and one things in that shop that I want to snap.  so so good.

it was hard for me to pick this one.  one was more colorful.  but I just love all the details in this.  I want the barrel!!

bedknobs and broomsticks.

I love the lettering on that barrel.  and the twigs.  mmmmmm.

151.

my second endeavor into halloween.

a good good night with my terrific friends.

my newest love is taking pictures of fire.  they turn out spectacular and freaky.

this one is just crazy, its so cool.

sparks fly.

 sparktacular, eh?

one FIFTY!

here we go, we're rollin'.

nothing special this day...just another pull over spot.  one of these days I'm going to get hit by passerbys.

this one's dirty and cool.  I like it.

tin roof rusted.

looks gritty and old.  love.

day 149.

so.

reasons for delay are threefold:

1. I moved out.
2. I got electrocuted.
3. I haven't had wireless internet until today.  oh wait, I still don't know how to set it up.

well, I have a lot of posts to do, I'll try to get to them a.s.a.p.

for now, I'll post the ones I have ready.  up until halloween.

this day was just like any other.  pulling over to take pictures.  taking pictures while driving.  taking pictures while eating.  the usz.

so here's a little country bumpkin for ya.

prairie view.

cozy cozy.  I'll keep on truckin'...

146.

wyldlife halloween party!

good times, great kids.

this picture is perfection.  it reflects everything that is wyldife.  kids being awesome and crazy.  and me getting to soak up every bit of that awesomeness.  and I get to act like a freak too.

behold emily pitzer, she's awesome and she was my model today.

superfly.

like everything about this is amazing.  every detail.  love it.

day one hundred forty five.

busy busy day of moving.  packing every little thing I own and taking all the small stuff over.  now just the furniture left.  soooo anyone want to help??  I need muscles...thursday night, maybe saturday, maybe sunday?  its complicated.

anyways.

all I did was pack, move, unpack and organize.

but I also sat and admired my place.  my new place.  its really really strange to be not living at my home.  its different than college.  its odd and bittersweet but I am excited because this new place is perfect for me.  but prayers would be appreciated during this transition!

anyways, here's some of my admiring.  this is looking out my bedroom window:)

ledge look.

I hope this turns out as good as I think it will.

day 144.

so today is mrs. toni yandell's birthday.  25!

so of course there no better way to celebrate than to break in the new famous dave's.  bring on the cornbread muffins.

it was delicious - and while we were waiting I took some pictures of my surroundings.  knick knacks and cool stuff everywhere.

I really this one.  cause its very true to the thing we love about famous dave's.  the sauce.

red hot.

it looks like its seriously fire.  awesome.

day one hundred forty three.

I really like this picture cause its different.

I used my manual settings for this.  I picked my aperture, and my shutter speed, and my iso.  yeah.  it's really just trial and error, it's really hard for me to understand those concepts and how they fit together.  its wicked confusing.

anyway.  I went over to jefferson, it looked deserted and creepy.  I'd also like to point out that jefferson is not the safest place at night.  I thought I was gonna get ripped up by some hooligans.  yes, I typed that sentence.  let's just say there was a lot of cussing, yelling and improper grammar.

well here ye go.

into the dark.

YES.  it looks pro.  I love the concrete and the lights over to the right.

day 142.

so this one is really cool to me.

my mom gave me the idea to go over to the aupperle construction building.  man were there a lot of interesting things there.  it was beautiful.

the minute I got there I was enthralled with these wire grates.  they were so cool.  I love this one.

tow the row.

I love how the metal looks like its coming at you.  three to the d, yo.

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

141.

nearly caught up.  though I'm not doing today's til tomorrow.

I know I take lots of tree pictures.  but goodness, how can I help myself?  have you seen this weather??  I try to get some diversity in my pictures, if that helps at all.

but this is lovely.  and it makes me excited for halloween.  I hope nobody is tiring of the nature pics.  but illinois is luscious, I can't hold back.

twigged out.

the stuff is magic.

one forty.

let me introduce you to my new apartment.

well, its not really a picture of that, but just outside it.

I was there, painting, again.  and I was outside waiting for my jimmy johns and snapped this one of the street lamp right outside the house.  it was illuminating the tree so nicely.  good job, lamp.

leaf the light on.

the sky was the coolest color that night.  the leaves look like heaven next to it.

day 139.

omg, best day ever.

I love my church.  I can't emphasize it enough.  I never wanna leave it.  it is pure awesomeness.

and our blessed imago dei moved into our new building!  so beautiful and so amazing.  it was the greatest service and an all around beautiful day.

this picture is for the body of believers at imago dei, I love you.

communion wine.

I love the windows in the background and just this picture in general.

day 138.

saturday was a great day.  I found my kitchen table.  found my fruit crates.  and went to the greatest antique mall ever.  AND and, got to see spring awakening.

beyond beyond beyond incredible.  beautiful, moving, and important.  I cried a lot and smiled a lot and was just in a trance.  stunning.

I know its "against the rules" but I took a picture.  one before it started and one at curtain call.  I like this one best but they're both beautiful.

stage presence.

it was really hard for me to decide cause the other one had the cast in it.  but this one was just better quality.  and considering this was the day I also learned some new ways to use my canon, I thought I'd better pick quality.

Friday, October 15, 2010

day one hundred thirty seven.

I really like this one.

I went to pasand indian restaurant with my lovely love, vanessa.  she and I appreciate the spicy!  it was delicious.  and while I was waiting for her to get to the restaurant I took some pictures out the window and came up with this looker.

culture spin.

I love all the shapes.  and the little cars look like smart cars, they're chubby and cute.  its pretty.

Thursday, October 14, 2010

one. three. six.

something else I did a lot of last week.

thrifting.

I had some things I was looking for:  a kitchen table, fruit crates, dishes, etc.

so this is just a nod to my thrifting adventures.

I did, by the way, find all those things:)

nifty thrifty.

I really liked the window and sign together.  lots of lines and colors.  magnifique.

135.

sorry sorry sorry!

moving out is a lot of work.  and after painting for three hours, I don't really feel like blogging.  but it gave me chance to read some of my friends' blogs and I started feeling really guilty.  I think people like this blog, so I'm going to try to get better.  october has just been nuts for me.

thus the picture for this day.  it encompasses what I've been doing for the past week and a half...projects.  this is just one of many.  a magazine rack that my grandma gave me.  I spray painted it and braided some ribbon to tie on the sides.

anyways, here's a nice picture for you!  boring, maybe, but nice.

by the gallon.

it's interesting to me.  lots of things going on.

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

one hundred thirty four.

today, I got lucky.

although I don't know if I'd call it luck when God just gave us the most perfect fall day ever.  it smelled like leaves, and rain, and love.

my g.p.s. took me on farmdale road which is my new favorite place.  the whole entire road.  holy wow.  its full of picture taking opportunities.  I will be going back.  fo real.

but today I didn't have but ten minutes, so I stopped at an easier spot.  the farmdale reservoir.  oh la la.  so pretty.  beautiful.  amazing.  let me just go ahead and reveal this...there will be more posted to the site.

fall on me.

AHHGHGHHGHHHHH!!!!!

one hundred 33.

here we go.

pretty excited about this one.  it was an effort of sorts but I've always wanted to go shoot to this area.  get ready for it...

...the closed morton pool.

it looks so dark and creepy and strangely inviting.  so I went there.

I really really like this, its so cool looking and once I spotted this, it was so visually attractive.  it looked like art.  fo real.

shadow pull.

so so cool.

132.

beautiful beautiful day.  imago dei had its last service at the gateway.  sad, bittersweet, exciting, lots of things.

it was our last service and I just had to take some pictures to capture the joy and great times that happened in this place.  and some great things happened here for the kingdom of God.  so I think this picture is beautiful just like everything about this church is beautiful.

I just really like the angle and the colors.

endless stories.

play on words.  props to my imagos.

131.

baby oren is on his way!

today was jessey's baby shower.  full of owls, fallness, and love.  we celebrated, ate, and gifted.  this little baby is already spoiled rotten.

helping out was really fun and it felt good to make my sweet friend so happy.

some of the favors we had were little bags of peanuts and candy corn.

I couldn't resist settting this shot up and the momma-to-be just made it thee picture of the day.  it encompasses jessey in many ways:)  so excited to see her become a mom!

little peanut.

pretty sweet.  maybe it'll make it to the baby book!

day one hundred thirty.

I might be behind the next couple weeks.  cause all I can concentrate on doing at the moment is packing and painting.  packing, painting, painting, packing.  oh and also thrifting.  I need stuff.

well I have a lot of good pictures to share.

the first one being from our big game against metamora...which ended...cough...poorly.  but that's ok.  it was still a good night for football with perfect weather and red everywhere.

this picture was an accident.  I had it on manual focus, instead of auto, and this resulted.  it was a nice surprise.

show your spirit.

yo yo potters.  love my little pommers - represent!

one two nine.

geez, I'm tired.  one more.

this is beautiful.  I love the simplicity of this and also the immense amount of detail.  blurry, sharp, crisp, subtle colors.

checkmate.

I love it.  its my favorite color scheme right now, yellow and grey.  and the contrast is great.  I love how the board kind of confuses your eyes.  I know the caption is cliche but it just happens to be my favorite line in "harry potter and the sorcerer's stone".  I'm awesome.

128.

this was such an "au naturale" day.  so hopefully you like it.

again, at dance for four hours.

so please enjoy, as I haven't yet featured my new dance love, tap.

tried and true.

I love the look of tap shoes. lots of texture and lots of detail. plus the rough, worn-in, look of this shoe just makes me happy in so many ways.

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

day one hundred twenty seven.

I've decided to not "try" anymore.  I've decided this thing should just be natural and part of my day.  so that's what I'm going to do.  if I see something I'll certainly make an effort to get a picture, but I want it to be more authentic.

so its kind of hard to get a picture on busy days.  but I've just been taking pictures of things throughout the day.  including the four hours I spent at the dance studio.

so here it is, some dancing sweetness.

gilded grace.

I like it because behind her is a tapestry of a ballerina.  so pretty.  so simple.

Monday, October 4, 2010

126.

this day felt like old times.  it felt so normal and not busy, for once in my life.  me and ali went out for dinner and a movie.  it was great.  and everyone should go see "easy a".  hi-larious.  emma stone is genius.

anyways, when we got there there was this great sky and I took a picture of the trees.  it looked beautiful.  my movie theatre pictures were cool too but I just love this.

autumn outline.

yes.

one hundred 25.

a day to bring awareness and support.  my friend at work, my friend from young life, and one of my dance moms, and my good friends' sister - all have a child with diabetes.  and three of those children have been diagnosed within the last couple years.

today was the ron santo walk for jdrf.  it was a beautiful day and there were so many people there.  I hope you can take the time to go to www.jdrf.org and make a donation.  every little bit helps.

taking steps.

I like how it just looks so packed full of people like they're all connected.  and all the colors and details.

Saturday, October 2, 2010

one twenty four.

here's the deal.  I just edited six hundred pictures.  and I've not been home any night since the day where we left off.  also, I'm moving out.  also, this takes hours.  so again, in my busy life, please be patient.  the blog entries will be posted eventually.

this is the day my friends got married.  beautiful, simple, and FUN.  two people perfectly suited.  and they were once featured in my blog - day thirty-six: july 26.

it was a great day and everything looked beautiful.  everything.  here is their first dance, oh timmy, worked so hard.

life's a dance.

the colors and the lighting was spectacular and a dream for me to photograph.  there are so many good ones but this one summed up the day and the couple.  I'll post the rest on my website soon!

123.

so today was a blissful fall day for me.  and I enjoyed it.

at one point I was doing the following three things:
1) eating a caramel apple sucker.
2) listening to christmas music.
3) riding in the car with maci.

at the same time.  I know the christmas music has nothing to do with fall and is a little premature in the minds of most, but it makes me happy.  so I don't care:)  as I was driving with maci, I stuck my camera over in her direction and snappy snap snapped.  I've done this trick before, but with a less quality camera and while the car was in park.  this time the windows were down...maci was in her element and at her peak of happiness...and this is the result...

joyride.

the wind in her hair.  the pure joy on her little face.  the colors.  its all good, dude.  its allll good.
