304.

another day...

ali onken loves giving me photo opportunities...ok, maybe that's not her goal in life but so far she's assisted me with two really good pictures with her brilliant suggestions of activities.

this one is fun.  I love sports pictures.  I didn't think I'd be a sports picture kind-of-gal but I am.  I'm excited for more spring sports photo opps.

this is about a girl I love named taylor.  she's awesome.  she'll be getting lots of visits from me when she goes to school.  this pic is hot.

on the run.

booyah.  and there are tons more.  on the facebook site soon.

three hundred 3.

I'm behind for a number of reasons...daily interferences, long weekends, and loss.

I'll try to move forward as swiftly as possible.

this day was a particularly pretty one.  I was pulling off to the river's edge and lucky me, a barge was on the water.  I don't know what my fascination is with those things but they're awesome.

barging through.

sweet action.

three-oh-two.

oh hi.

I did not want to take a picture of anything outside today.  I was too angered by the snow and the cold and it was just ridiculous.

so I focused my attention on one thing that always brings a smile to my face...food.

got papa murphy's for dinner.  delicious, fresh, and makes me feel like I'm the one that's cooking.

li'l pizza.

little shout out in that caption.  I love the way that basil is cradling the tomatoes.  delish.  and I probably have three meals left out of it.

day 301.

I can't believe how many days are left, that's nuts.  and awesome.

today I had a training in peoria and decided to go down by the river and the train tracks to take pictures.  I love this picture.

downtown train.

I love so many things.  the coloring.  the long shadows.  the ball of sunlight.  joy.

THREE HUNDRED!!!

seriously?

65 days left???  that's all???!

I'm ready to be done, not gonna lie.  its a pretty monotonous life I'm living.  but don't worry, I have plans for when this challenge is "over".

I love featuring imago, cause it makes me so happy.  our building is beautiful, but nothing is better than the people inside.

within these walls.

I am in love with my church.

day two ninety-nine.

soooo much fun!

went to go see my little emma in fame!  she did AMAZING, she totally stole the show.  be in musicals forever, girl!

unfortunately she is not in this picture, but you can't really tell WHO is, so that's ok.  this one turned out so good so I had to use it.

almost famous.

freaking sweet.

day 2-9-7.

beautiful beautiful.

this little girl is one of my favorite people.  she's very special and one of the funniest people I've ever met.  she's a fighter and she's quirky.  her name is maia.

love her so much.

sweet pea.

that face perfectly sums up her sweet little personality.  and her eyes just look gorgeous.

296.

sorry to get behind!

although there are PLENTY of commentless pictures to catch up on:)

I was out by farmdale again and saw this little road that I've been meaning to stop to shoot.  its just a small dirt road.  I'm not sure what its used for but it's really pretty with a clearing and trees.

beaten path.

beautiful.

day 295.

today I creeped, like always.

spring is in the air and so is track season!  so I went to visit my jr. high kids at track practice and took some shots of them during their warm-up run.

I love this.  I can't wait to go track meets and get some more pictures.  action shots AND natural light?  yes please!

run the race.

I kinda love that that girl's shoelace is untied.

294.

birthday!

I've thought about what I wanted to do for this picture for several months.  and I decided it should be all about me.  a self-portrait.  I'm ecstatic about this picture.  the way I set it up, the colors, the angle.  I can't wait to take pictures this summer for several people who've asked me.  bring on the senior pics!

life's road.

gorgeous, if I do say so myself.  it looks straight out of anthro's spring catalog.  also, I made it so you can enlarge this one!  cause I'm vain like that.

two hundred ninety three.

so tired so I'll make this quick.

it was really nice out today, beautiful spring day.  so it was nice driving around.  unfortunately I was tired and not feeling too good so I didn't walk around and truly venture out.

it was so strange though cause it was freezing and dreary this morning.

anyways, this makes me want sprummer to come all the more quickly.  sit back with an iced tea and a book and rock.

rock-a-bye.

I'm so excited for tomorrow's picture:)

2-ninety two.

creepin out in public.

went to cyd's with sister, john, and kelly and there were some cute ladies having a baby shower.  they had a great spread and it just looked lovely.  so I asked them if I could take a picture of the table.

they obliged, probably with some hesitation.

but I like this creeptastic number - its cute and colorful.

cafe crowd.

as soon as I get done with these updates I'm hittin' the sack.  its ridic how tired I am.

Friday, March 18, 2011

day two 91.

drove around today.

talking to my sister on the phone about what a creep I am when I do that.

par example...

play on.

just a cute little family playing kick ball.  don't mind me, over here in a parking lot, with my lens protruding from the window...

love this picture.

290.

happy st. patrick's day!

I took some time off work and went to the parade - didn't take long to get a good picture.  I have SO many more that I'll share but this was my fave.

I love how they are PERFECTLY in step together!

saints marching in.

love it.  love the colors and the fabrics and everything.  awesome.  I miss freaking scotland and ireland.  boooooooooo.

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

day 289.

I keep finding sweet looking things to take pictures of in town.  morton has some sweet locations if you reeeaaaaallly dig deep.

I found this little nugget in the downtown area.  I like it.  its dirty and pretty.

what rubbish.

trash can be pretty.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

two-88.

saddest day.

we made it to super-sectionals and just played an awful game with the worst refs in all of history.  seriously, I hope they don't any money back from their taxes.  frickin' jerks.

anywho.

this picture is completely sad but its also completely perfect.  it captures exactly the mood of that night after our loss.  losing is especially horrible when the prospect of winning state was so close and so easily reachable, this picture captures that feeling of defeat.

down and out.

I took this SO fast cause literally a second later someone walked in front of my camera.  but yeah, I love it.  thanks for posin', buddy.  great season, potters, you guys are so awesome!

Monday, March 14, 2011

day two hundred 87.

dear washington, you have great things for me to take pictures of.  I thank you.

I like this.  I love the metal and the grunge and that has nothing to do with music of any kind.

happy trails.

colors are brill.

two eight six.

wyldlife is my life.  no seriously, it takes up tons of my time.

but that's ok, cause these kids are spectacular.

here they are, playing some games and having fun.

reaching out.

nuggggetttss.

day 2-8-5.

day of the talent show.

I won't elaborate much cause that'd be...inappropriately mean...but the kid in this picture actually DID have talent and he was awesome.

I've heard of musicians doing this before, but not high school kids, playing and recording and playing over the recordings...on the spot.

kid was money.

stars align.

 good stuuuuuuffff.

day two hundred eighty four.

I'm so behind.

that's what late nights and time changes and hundreds of pictures will do to you.  and I'm making myself go to bed early tonight, regardless of how behind I am.

but this is too good to not post today.

we won sectionals!!  AND we beat washington!  supersectionals is tomorrow!

I'll be uploading them to my site tonight, and facebook later.  but here's a preview.

I figured I have a lot of basketball pictures.  like a lot.  too many on the blog.  so I wanted this one to be different.  and it is.

coach brown is the man.  he rocks and he and his family are the yarchos new bffs.  when we won, his two oldest daughters went out to pose with the team and the trophy.  it reminded me SO much of me and my sister, front row, holding up our "#1" and posing with the team.

later after the game jim mattson was interviewing coach brown and his oldest, peyton and his wife were standing there.  peyton gave her dad a big hug and looked up at him.  it was coach yarcho and littl sissy all over again...21 year deja vu.

brown eyed girl.

I don't think peyton's eyes are brown...but her last name is!

2-8-3.

so there is this mausoleum off of prospect that I love.  its got great stonework and beautiful doors.

as I was taking pictures of the doors and the outside of the building, I noticed some awesome things that were happening with the windows.  observe...

outside looking in.

do you see??  not only do you see the cool detail of the doors, but you see the inside of the building AND the reflection of the trees and skies in the window!

insane.

day two 82.

I really enjoy this picture.

I have so so many pictures of main street, its ridiculous.  but it has a lot to offer me.

it has been so rainy and dreary lately that I wanted to get some beauty out of it.  I love the way it makes the street look.  its shiny and all the lights bounce off of it.

slick streets.

I love the color in this.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

day two hundred 81.

happy mardi gras!

not much to be said, its a day to induldge in whatever you're giving up tomorrow for lent.

I made someone model for me.  little miss sara.  this picture was taken in a rushed manner but maybe that makes it even better:)  mask...boom.  boa...boom.  smile...boom.

mardi mask.

laughs and cuteness.  love the colors.  thanks, pilch!

Monday, March 7, 2011

day 280.

went over to the old methodist church building.  lots of memories of youth there, and I like that building, the outside is neat.

I've always loved these stairs outside of buildings.  it makes me think of "annie".

stairway to heaven.

yes yes yes.

Sunday, March 6, 2011

two-79.

today was lovely.

a beautiful morning at church full of banter, laughing, and awesome awesome worship.  its always the best time of my entire week.  I love my people.

but this picture has nothing to do with that:)  it was just a sunny and lovely day...still cold...but still pretty.  I was loving that sun, and I wanted it to be today's winner.

here comes the sun.

hope you like it as much as I do.

278.

oh the simple joys in life.

like a visit to lincoln to hang out with your crazy aunts and uncles.  and an obligitory stop at first wok.  the best chinese on the planet, including china.

bruce was there and just as awesome as ever.  so sweet, he even remembered me!  here he is in all his glory.

order up.

so cute, ready for his next customer.

Friday, March 4, 2011

day two hundred 77.

morton regional game.  intense and awesome and close.  great game, just a little scary.

but we won!  52-51 - on to sectionals!

winner's circle.

potters all the way!  I love that this was taken BEFORE the game...they're so pumped.

Thursday, March 3, 2011

two hundred 76.

yo.

today I went to from the field.  one of my favorite places to lunch.

it was delicious.  I had my favorite, the bacon apple and cheddar panini with maple bacon, green apple slices, cheddar cheese and red onion mayo.  unbelievable.

but that's not my picture.

I took a picture of it being made.  I love this perspective - head on with the chef reflected in the stove range.

top chef.

I like it.  I like that its just a peek.

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

275.

so I'm trying to not get burned out.  I'm creating new opportunities for pictures so that I can have diversity and not get completely bored with this challenge.

it's hard, every day I get up I don't wanna take a picture.  I don't wanna blog it.  like I've said before, its just like "what is left to take pictures of?!?!"  every single day...gets a little tedious.

but, I'm making my effort.  putting both feet forward.

this is amazing.

I love my models.  they are the best.  I wanna take more pictures of people.

lay it down.

amaze.

day two hundred seventy four.

I love this one.

I went walking around downtown the other day and found a GREAT spot.

perspective is everything.

right up your alley.

yeaaaaahhh.  that car looks sweet.  so does the brick contrast.  I love it so much.

THREE MONTHS LEFT.
